How To Become An Official

All officials are unpaid volunteers who give their time for their children and grandchildren.

To help run the program smoothly we require site helpers and officials. That means parents will need to come to watch and support their children at each event, perhaps measure their throw or jump, record the distances, or maybe just retrieve the discus/javelin/shot put.

We cannot run events unless we have parent help.

Our Centre relies upon willing parents to undertake training to become an official. The training consists of a practical course that explains the correct competition rules and is followed by an short Quiz.

Next one is Saturday 14 th September at St Leonards Athletics Centre at 11am.

If you are interested in becoming an official, please speak to Ric Furfaro or Kristy Bown.
